We take a personalised approach to support a diverse range of clients, promote independence and drive success.
As approved Providers for East Sussex County Council and a family run business that has been established for over 35 years, TSHS provides specialist support, accommodation and outreach services for adults with mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities, and physical health issues.
We provide safe, secure, and welcoming living environments, and tailored support to meet our clients’ needs, as identified both in discussion with the clients and in their Support Plans from Adult Social Care. The aim is always to help people to gain increasing independence and control in all aspects of their life.
We have two shared houses, a number of flats, and also provide support to outreach clients who arrange their own accommodation. This means that we are able to offer a route for clients who, as their level of independence increases, may move from a shared house, to a flat, and eventually to their own accommodation, all the while being given an appropriate level of support by a team who they know and trust and, importantly, who understand their needs and their journey.
We run a living skills programme that gives structured support to help clients to be able to do things like independently shop for food, plan weekly menus and prepare healthy meals; responsibly manage their own finances; maintain a clean living environment; seek education and employment opportunities; manage their own physical and mental health; manage relationships with friends and family; and to actively pursue their own interests.
We offer weekly trips to surrounding towns, villages, the seaside or the countryside to promote health and wellbeing, and are looking to build ever closer relationships with local charities and organisations where clients can get involved, so they can be active participants in the community.
Our team or staff are passionate about the service we provide and about helping adults who need support to have the best opportunities for recovery and development, wellbeing and fulfilment. To do this, we collaborate and communicate with other professionals to effectively care for and support our clients to help them to progress towards independence.
Our caring team of support workers has extensive experience working with adults with a range of needs, and includes individuals professionally qualified in nursing, social work, care certificate, physiotherapy, education and occupational therapy backgrounds.
